Last Saturday night, into early Sunday morning, a massive explosion rocked the city of Toronto, Canada. Didn't hear about it in the news? I was surprised too. I saw a "Breakings News" blurp on the CNN website and didn't see anything after that. So, I did my own digging and followed news websites out of Canada as well as YouTube videos posted by scared residents soon after the blast.

The initial explosion occured at 3:40am northwest of town at a propane storage facility. Many residents were violently awakened by the blast. At least one resident escaped with his life as his house collapsed. His house and many others, right near the facility, caught fire. Windows were shattered of many homes by the shockwave of the explosion and a few others following. At least one video shows an explosion, with a shockwave, sending the cameraman and his family members ducking for cover back inside their house. In some of the video, you can see burning propane tanks launch like rockets into the air, landing hundreds of feet away from the blast site, landing in the surrounding homes. Energency officials evacuated every home within a 2 mile radius of the blast. That was later expanded the following afternoon.
